Accepting these terms

By accessing or using Ruming, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Ruming is for people aged 16 and over. If you are between 16 and 18, we recommend using it with a parent or guardian aware that you do.

You confirm that you meet this age requirement, that you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms, and that your use will comply with applicable law.

Ruming is not designed for or directed at children, and we do not market it to them. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we will close it and delete the associated data.

What Ruming is

Ruming offers personalised readings and decision guidance grounded in Ziwei Doushu and Qimen Dunjia, two traditional Chinese systems, generated with the help of AI.

Readings are offered for self-reflection and as one perspective on your life. They are not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and they are not predictions of fact. For important decisions, consult a qualified professional.

Your account

You sign in with your email through one-time links. Keep access to your email secure—it is the key to your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access.

Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep them current. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used for fraud or unlawful activity, or puts the service or other users at risk.

Plans

Ruming is offered as plans: a free first meeting, a one-off reading, and monthly memberships. Each plan includes room to use Ruming in proportion to its depth; that room is a feature of the service and has no cash value outside it.

Prices are shown in US dollars. Local sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where required. Memberships renew monthly until cancelled.

Refunds and cancellation

Plans are digital content delivered immediately. At checkout, you consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that your statutory 14-day right to cancel ends once delivery begins—that is, the moment you first talk with Ruming or first open Today’s Rebalance. A plan is therefore not refundable once used.

Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from your account. Cancelling stops future renewals; the period you have already paid for runs to its end and is not refunded pro rata.

If something went wrong on our side—a reading that failed to generate, usage counted twice, or a duplicate charge—tell us and we will put it right. That is not a refund policy; it is us delivering what you paid for.

Nothing here removes rights you have under UK consumer law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep Ruming available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance and updates may cause temporary interruptions, and some features may differ by region.

We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice. Material changes will be announced by email or in the service.

Acceptable use

Use Ruming lawfully and for your own personal use.

Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our prompts or source code; scrape the service or resell access; use bots or automated systems without permission; circumvent security or access controls; use the service to generate unlawful, harmful, or abusive content; or infringe anyone else’s rights.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, engage in fraud, or put the service or other users at risk.

Content and data

The service’s interface, wording, and reading system belong to us. What you write remains yours; you grant us permission to process it to provide the service. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Liability

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or the accuracy of any reading.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of readings, or for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Indemnity

You agree to cover any claims, losses, or costs we incur because you broke these terms, infringed someone else’s rights, or misused the service.

General

These terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not lose it. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours.

Changes and contact

If something goes wrong, email hello@ruming.app first—most things are settled that way. If we cannot resolve it, you keep every right you have under UK law, including the small claims route. We do not require you to give up access to the courts.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in the service and noted here with a new date; continuing to use Ruming after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
